The best AI marketing agencies in Amsterdam and the Netherlands (2026)

Which Dutch agencies actually do something with AI? An honest comparison of seven AI marketing agencies in Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands, on the same criteria: proprietary tooling, team, approach and pricing.

Full transparency up front: this is our own list and we are on it. We made it as factual as possible, with fixed criteria, real numbers and an honest "best for" per agency. Precisely because most agency lists leave that out. Draw your own conclusions.

What is an AI marketing agency?

Almost every agency in the Netherlands claims to "do something with AI" these days. A real AI marketing agency is recognisable by three things. One: proprietary AI tooling that demonstrably changes the work. Software that turns market or account data into decisions. A ChatGPT subscription does not count. Two: AI forecasting and growth analyses. Predicting what campaigns, seasons and budget shifts will do, instead of reporting afterwards what happened. Three: a clear specialisation. AI only works when deep knowledge of one market sits underneath it. For us that is direct-to-consumer e-commerce; for others on this list it is Google Ads automation, SEO and SEA, or enterprise size.

We deliberately kept this list Dutch. An agency in New York can be excellent, but for a brand selling in the Benelux you want a team that knows your market, your seasons and your language. And that you can simply call.

How do you compare AI marketing agencies?

An honest comparison requires fixed criteria. These are the eight that matter most for e-commerce and D2C:

CriterionWhat to assess
Proprietary toolingDoes the agency have its own software or does it rely solely on standard SaaS?
Own approachIs there a documented framework or are generic AI workflows used?
Measurable resultsAre KPIs (ROAS, revenue growth, CAC) publicly substantiated with timeline and method?
Tracking and data infrastructureAre Conversions API, server-side tracking and A/B testing an integral part of the way of working?
Sector experienceIs there demonstrable e-commerce/D2C focus on channels like Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Klaviyo?
Team and seniorityDo senior specialists do the work or are clients served through account managers?
Pricing transparencyAre fee structure, media budget minimums and contract form public?
Onboarding and timelineWhat does the first phase look like, and when does impact become visible?

The common thread in these criteria is measurability. An agency that sets up campaigns without managing a solid tracking infrastructure (think Meta Conversions API, TikTok Events API and server-side tracking via Google Tag Manager) lacks the data foundation to apply AI meaningfully. The central question in every first conversation: does this agency make results genuinely measurable, or does it merely claim to use AI?

1. Wrkt Digital: AI-first, D2C only

We work with a senior team, no account managers, exclusively for D2C e-commerce. The AI side is concrete: Wrkt Signal scans hundreds of competitor ads per client and turns market data into a concrete testing roadmap, and the Intelligence phase of our methodology runs on AI forecasting and growth analyses. Seasonal trends, conversion data and budget scenarios that predict where growth sits before budget is spent.

Tracking is the foundation under that approach. Meta Conversions API, TikTok Events API and server-side tracking via Google Tag Manager Server-Side are a standard part of every collaboration, as is the corresponding setup of Meta Ads and TikTok advertising. We are a Meta Business Partner, TikTok Smart+ Partner, Google Ads Partner and Klaviyo Partner.

Our cases back up the approach with concrete KPIs:

  • Vedder & Vedder: 100% revenue growth per year for 5 consecutive years, with expansion into the UK, DE and FR.
  • Feather Women: ROAS 7+ on Meta within 5 months, with 90%+ revenue growth.
  • Pig & Hen: 792% revenue growth in 3 years, active in 5 countries.

Pricing is public on the site: from €2,500 per month excluding media budget, media budget from €5,000 per month, three months minimum. Clients keep full ownership of their ad accounts, data, pixels and creative assets.

A better fit elsewhere: brands that want ten services under one roof (web development, branding, video), B2B companies, or teams with a media budget under €5,000 per month.

2. Whello: broad full-service in Amsterdam

Whello has been working from Amsterdam since 2016 with 45-50+ marketers and creatives and has helped 100+ brands. Their strength is breadth: from SEO and ads to websites, video and branding under one roof, with AI applied within the services. A logical choice for brands that want everything with one partner. For pure D2C performance the model is more generic than a specialist.

3. Dept: AI for enterprise brands

Dept started in Amsterdam in 2015 and grew into 4,000+ specialists across 30+ offices worldwide, with a proprietary AI marketing platform (Ada) that handles billions in media budget. If you run an international brand with campaigns in ten countries at once, this is where you find the size and the technology. The flip side: for a D2C brand with a budget in the hundreds of thousands or low millions, you are rarely the most important account at an agency this large.

4. Fingerspitz: data and automation across the board

Fingerspitz (2011, Breda, 50+ specialists, multiple award winner) is one of the strongest data-driven agencies in the Netherlands, with real depth in SEA, SEO, marketing automation and data analysis. Best suited to growing brands professionalising their entire digital marketing. Less specifically aimed at the creative-driven D2C advertising we focus on.

5. Flowboost: Google Ads automation with proprietary tooling

Flowboost (Rotterdam, 2023, now also with an office in Valencia) is the youngest on this list and shows what proprietary tooling means. They built Wolfy, an AI agent for Google Ads, and the Labelizer script used by thousands of marketers worldwide, and are among the 89 Google Premier Partners in the Netherlands. Strong for webshops that want to deeply automate Google Ads and Shopping. Their centre of gravity is Google; for creative-driven growth on Meta and TikTok you are better off with a D2C specialist.

6. Searchlab: AI skills for SEO and SEA

Searchlab positions itself as an AI marketing agency with 50+ self-developed AI skills for Google Ads audits, SEO analyses and content production, among other things, operating from several Dutch cities. Pricing is transparent: fixed rates from €3,000 per month, cancellable monthly (as of August 2026). Strong for SMEs that want to deploy AI-driven SEO and SEA fast. Public case studies with client-specific KPIs and a documented API-level tracking approach are limited on the site; for D2C brands growing on creative-driven paid social, a specialist is a better fit.

7. Dtch. Digitals: AI-first full-service

Dtch. Digitals (formerly Team Nijhuis, founded in 1973, part of Your.Online since January 2026) is an AI-first full-service agency with offices in Borne, Doetinchem and Gronau. AI is used for analysis, content and feed optimisation, within a broad package of SEA, SEO, social and websites. A fit for companies looking for one broad partner with AI in its way of working. Pricing is not public on the site (as of August 2026), and how AI insights translate into a testing roadmap at channel and tracking level is only briefly explained.

How this comparison was put together

  1. Shortlist of AI marketing agencies active in the Dutch market, selected on search engine positions and directory listings.
  2. Assessment of each agency on the eight criteria in the table above.
  3. Evidence check: are performance and ROI claims substantiated with measurable cases, tracking logic and timelines?
  4. Summary based on publicly available information, as of August 2026.

Claims about other agencies are based solely on their public websites and publicly verifiable sources, never on internal client data or direct conversations.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI marketing agency?

An agency that uses AI structurally in its work: proprietary tooling for market analysis, AI forecasting for budget decisions and AI-supported creative strategy. The difference with a regular agency is demonstrability: ask which tooling runs and which decisions that tooling changed this month.

Which AI marketing agency in Amsterdam fits my brand?

That depends on what you sell and how big you are. If you sell directly to consumers and want to grow structurally on Meta and TikTok, a D2C specialist like us fits. If you want web, video and branding with the same partner, look at a full-service agency like Whello or Dtch. Digitals. If you run international campaigns with an enterprise budget, you end up at Dept.

Is a big agency better than a small one?

Big wins on breadth (more services, more capacity), small wins on seniority and speed: with a specialist team you work directly with the people running your campaigns. For D2C brands up to roughly €10M in revenue that direct model is usually more effective. Above that, or with broad needs such as web, video and branding, a larger agency becomes more logical.

What does a specialised agency in the Netherlands cost?

Fees for serious campaign management roughly range from €2,500 to €6,000 per month, excluding media budget. Be critical of agencies without pricing transparency or charging percentages of ad spend. That model rewards spending, and you want to reward returns.

How do I test whether "AI" is more than marketing?

Three questions: which proprietary tooling do you use and can I see it? Which prediction did you make recently and did it come true? And which decision was made differently last month because of AI analysis? Anyone who can answer those concretely is doing it for real.
